Description

Some RID2015 OCs from a story I may or may not write out. An AU setting where the Alchemor captures are kept in a quarantine field in the quarry forcing them to work with each other in an effort to try and escape one day. After Steeljaw learns they have enough material to create protoforms he started to coerce ‘Cons to make relationships and in turn create potential sparklings through spark-bonding. The end result would be, of course, more Decepticons to make an army with.

Scalpel (Nightstrike/Vertebreak): The first successful case of a spark-bond-created spark being born since the Great War ended. With Vertebreak being the Decepticon’s scientist/medic (wasn’t their ideal choice but…) he set it upon himself to ensure that the protoforms the new sparks adapt to are perfect. So when his sparkling was created to be a healthy Bat-con, he couldn’t have been happier. Nightstrike was just happy their sparkling didn’t have an extra limb or something. However, as time went by the pair picked up on some issues Scalpel was having, and after some testing, Vertebreak was horrified to find out his perfect sparkling was born with malfunctioning optics. This realization caused a rift to be formed between the two creators over whether or not Scalpel’s disability needed fixing, or if they should just leave well enough alone, and in the end the pair split up, Nightstrike taking Scalpel to live on the other end of the quarry.

Despite all this, Scalpel grew up strong, relying on echolocation to “see” around him and not bump into things when he practices flying. He’s a very calm individual, not easily riled up, but he also thinks that he’s extremely wise and knowledgeable of many things just because he “sees the world different than most”. This self-proclaimed intelligence can make him very gullible, as he never wants to be proven wrong and will go along with what people say like he knew that all along. Scalpel’s worst internal conflict is whether or not he wants to ever try to fix his optics, as that debate caused the rift that separated his creators.

Scalpel considers himself to be very close to Silverclaw, and just wants the younger mech to be happy.

De-Fire (Quillfire/Springload): If there was one word to describe this Porcupine-con, it’s “scared”. De-Fire grew up with two creators that loved and protected him, but did so in a way that made the young one be frightened of the “evil authorities that attempt to crush us” and the “evil restless spirits that exist solely to distract and destroy our ambitions” that supposedly are everywhere. The result lead to anxiety and paranoia, and if someone startles him, De-Fire will accidentally release his quills (which harbor a dangerous acid that can burn through metal).

If it were up to him, De-Fire would just stay in his cave and not even attempt to escape from the quarry confine to see the rest of the world. But, when Silverclaw came along with his plans and goals, De-Fire found himself too frightened to try and say no to the other, and became a lackey, despite being older. He’s often the mech that has to go first to test a terrain or check for traps, much to his dismay. Truthfully, De-Fire wants to stand up for himself and overcome his “oppression”, but the last time he tried standing up to an authority figure, he thought Steeljaw would tear out his spark right then and there. Silverclaw carries that same terror.

A funny thing about De-Fire is the fact he has an extending glossa like his sire. He doesn’t often use it, but it still carries an acidic sting to anything it touches (aside from himself of course). Also, some refer to him as “Dee”.

Silverclaw (Thunderhoof/Steeljaw): The Sparkling of two of the Decepticons’ leaders, Silverclaw is every bit as awful as you would imagine. His tone is manipulative, his goals are selfish, and his anger is beyond terrifying. Silverclaw grew up a spoiled brat as all the other ‘Cons wouldn’t dare to disobey or disrespect their leaders’ kid. He was fine with that life, until he learned of the fact that his creation and existence was considered a failure to Steeljaw, who was not pleased by the fact his sole sparkling turned out to be a Cervicon/Wolfcon hybrid “freak” that wouldn’t amount to anything. Any other sparkling would be hurt by those words, but Silverclaw didn’t care in the slightest as he already detested his creators. But it did give him the idea to one day escape the quarry on his own and make an army so powerful that his sire will have no choice but to bow to him. An idea in which Silverclaw needed his fellow sparklings assistance to succeed with.

Silverclaw is more of a talker than a fighter, still quite young and inexperienced in battle, but when he’s angry enough, he’s capable of attacking with his claws and stomping the ground to create tremors strong enough to knock someone off of their feet. He hates to be identified only as his creators’ kid and wants to make his own name in history. Silverclaw also has one intense fear; to be branded as a Decepticon. Since the sparklings don’t carry any Decepticon life signals, it keeps them out of the Autobots radar, and that is how Silverclaw likes it. He’s terrified of becoming a Decepticon and winding up in a Stasis pod if he’s ever caught.

Above all else, Silverclaw only cares about himself, but considers Scalpel to be a decent ally (when his mouth is shut) and De-Fire to be a great underling (to take the beatings for him). He is not, however, too calm when it comes the young Stomper, constantly being irritated by the Dinobot’s hyper personality.

Stomper (Scowl/Underbite): The result of too much high grade, no one expected a Dinobot sparkling to ever be made through a spark-bond and yet it happened anyway. Stomper is young and very restless, constantly wanting to run around and play (and stomp and smash!) with the other Decepticons and his fellow sparklings. Not many mechs share that sentiment, Silverclaw going so far as to want to end the little one’s life if he steps too far out of line. Stomper’s naivety will be his downfall one day for sure, as he still thinks everyone likes him.

Despite his creators not having much of an attraction between one another, they both care for their sparkling and Stomper loves both of them very much. Stomper does, however, have a problem remembering their names…or anyone’s names really. Most think he doesn’t even know what a Decepticon is, let alone the fact they’re in a quarantine jail.

Being so young, Stomper still hasn’t attempted to transform into a bi-pedal mode yet. But that’s okay, he’d rather be to ready to stomp at any given moment anyway. His creators affectionately call him “Stompy”, and would crush anyone who’d try to pick on their little joy.
